Job summary

Priority Pet Urgent Care is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art urgent care hospital in Ankeny, IA. We seek a Practice Manager to lead people and the business, driving growth, profitability, and exceptional client/patient experience.

The role requires strong financial and operational acumen, KPI discipline, and the ability to partner with regional leadership to build a high-performing team pre-opening and after opening in December 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of veterinary practice management.
• Experience staffing, financial performance, operations leadership.
• CVPM or equivalent management certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital operations and people leadership for pre-opening and opening.
• Develop staffing plans and labor targets to balance demand and cost.
• Manage hospital budget, monthly P&L, and variances with regional leadership.
• Drive growth initiatives with Marketing and regional leadership.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and client/patient workflow optimization.
