Job summary

PriorityPet Urgent Care of Ankeny is opening a state-of-the-art urgent care hospital in Ankeny, IA, and seeks an experienced Practice Manager to lead people and business operations pre-opening and after opening. You will partner with the Veterinarian owner and regional leadership to build a high-performing, financially healthy hospital.

The role requires strong financial acumen, hands-on leadership, and proven ability to drive throughput, client experience, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of veterinary practice management.
• CVPM or equivalent management certification preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening operations and hospital setup.
• Hire and train staff; build schedules and labor plans.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
• Monitor KPIs, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Collaborate with veterinary leadership on patient workflow.
