Priority Pet Urgent Care in Ankeny, IA, is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the hospital through its pre-opening and grand opening. The role focuses on people leadership, operations, budgeting, and achieving staffing targets to build a high-performing urgent care team.

The candidate will partner with the Veterinarian owner and regional leadership to prepare workflows, manage procurement, and ensure a patient-focused experience from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of veterinary practice management experience.
• CVPM or equivalent management certification preferred but not required.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to manage budgets and KPIs.
• Excellent people leadership and communication skills.
• Flexible availability for hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening setup and facility readiness for grand opening in December 2026.
• Oversee equipment ordering, stocking, and supply management.
• Lead staff recruitment, training, and scheduling for pre-opening and opening.
• Partner with veterinary owner and regional leadership on budgeting, growth initiatives, and staffing decisions.
• Develop workflows to improve patient flow, client experience, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements and maintain high standards.
