Job summary

Mars seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Portland, OR region, including Tigard. This field-based role requires living in the territory, 20–30% travel, and a focus on delivering clinic-focused sales goals aligned with the Vet BU strategy.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication and presentation skills, a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), and a track record in B2B sales or veterinary clinic environments. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales experience (B2B preferred).
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan understanding clinic operational needs.
• Grow clinics within assigned geography by addressing operational needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary BU sales strategy.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Budget and reporting: manage expenses and complete CRM reports and presentations.
