Job summary

Hillside Veterinary Clinic in Dallas, TX is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians with patient care, anesthesia and surgical assisting, and post‑operative care. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of veterinary tech experience and is comfortable with ASA I‑V monitoring and lab work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a veterinary technician.
• CVT/LVT/RVT encouraged to apply.
• Experience in anesthesia and surgical assisting and post‑operative care.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, judgment, logic, creativity, conflict resolution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to observe animal behavior.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
• Assist with procedures to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Assist in surgeries and procedures per state Act for credentialed technicians.
• Educate clients about Thrive Membership options, meds and treatments.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
• Obtain health history from clients and keep medical charts updated.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas sterile and organized.
