Job summary

Hillside Veterinary Clinic in Dallas, TX, seeks an Emergency Veterinary Technician for a swing shift (12pm-12am) to provide hands-on care to critical patients. You will support veterinarians during emergency exams, monitor anesthesia, assist with surgeries, and document medical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of emergency veterinary technician experience.
• ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged.
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting skills.
• Experience with post-operative and emergency patient care.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency surgeries and post-operative care.
• Provide emergency nursing care and first aid to injured or recovering patients.
• Prepare patients and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics.
• Operate digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Accurately document patient histories and medical records.
• Maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas.
• Mentor and support fellow technicians and assistants.
