Hillside Veterinary Clinic in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Technician for overnight emergency coverage. This role offers hands-on critical care, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical support in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Emergency veterinary technician experience (1+ years) preferred.
• ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged.
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting skills required.
• Ability to assess patient condition and respond quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency surgeries and post-operative care.
• Provide emergency nursing care and first aid to patients.
• Prepare patients and instruments for procedures and maintain sterility.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret data (BP, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2).
• Collect lab samples and run in-house diagnostics.
• Operate radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document patient records.
• Maintain clean and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas.
• Mentor and support other technicians and assistants.
