Thrive Pet Healthcare – Hurst is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our supportive, patient‑focused team in Hurst, TX. This hands‑on clinical role is ideal for technicians who enjoy collaborating, delivering high‑quality care, and thriving in a positive, team‑oriented hospital environment.

You’ll assist veterinarians during exams, anesthesia, and surgeries, perform in‑house diagnostics, radiography, and documentation, and help maintain a clean, safe treatment area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience.
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged or in progress.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting.
• Strong attention to detail and clinical observation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-quality general practice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post-operative care.
• Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I–III).
• Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics.
• Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas.
• Using safe restraint techniques to ensure patient and team safety.
• Working collaboratively with technicians, assistants, and doctors to support smooth patient flow.
