Animal Care Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support outpatient care and surgical procedures, including anesthesia and dentistry.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, client-focused, with 1+ year of tech experience and Iowa registration. This full-time role offers a 4/10 schedule, Monday–Friday, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, 401k, CE allowance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assisting in surgery.
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital.
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
