Job summary

COVE Animal Health is hiring a Veterinary Technician - Recovery at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA. This full-time role supports post-surgery recovery across departments and assists anesthesia, with a $2,000 retention bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Ideal candidates have experience in fast-paced specialty, emergency, or surgical settings, strong clinical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced specialty, emergency, or surgical setting.
• Strong clinical skills including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and pharmacology/anesthesia knowledge.
• Confidence in anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment.
• Commitment to collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Help recover post-surgery patients for all departments.
• Assist inpatient teams with recovered surgical patients.
• Assist anesthesia team in induction for surgery, set up ORs, and clean/sterile instrument processes.

**$2,000 Retention Bonus**

Compensation

• Starting at $20 - $23/hr depending on experience and credentials
• Four 10 hour days Mon-Fri with rotating weekend days

What You'll Do

• This nurse will help recover post surgery patients for all departments.
• May also help inpatient teams with recovered surgical patients.
• May help anesthesia team induce for surgery, set up OR's, Clean and sterile process instruments

• Strong clinical skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and understanding of pharmacology/anesthesia protocols
