Job summary

COVE Animal Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant for the Emergency department in Plymouth Meeting, PA. This full-time position supports the Emergency Services team, with shifts across early to late hours as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, communicating with pet parents, and assisting doctors and technicians. Prior veterinary experience is preferred; a calm, organized, and learning-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary, animal care, or shelter environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and common veterinary terminology.
• A calm, organized demeanor—capable of juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• A passion for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and restock treatment areas with necessary supplies

$2,000 retention bonus

Schedule & Pay

• 5-8-hour shifts/week, Shifts range from 6am-9pm
• Starting at $17/hr.
• Please note that some holidays are required.
