Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (AVES) is hiring for Overnight Veterinary Technician positions in our new 45,000 sq. ft. state‑of‑the‑art hospital.

We are seeking skilled, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented professionals passionate about advancing veterinary medicine. Licensed Technicians earn $24+/hr, Non‑Credentialed techs start at $21+/hr, with an Overnight Differential of +$2/hr. Full‑time schedule is 3x12 hour shifts, 6:00 pm–7:00 am; days are TBD.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technicians (LVT/RVT/CVT) with at least 3 years of experience.

• Fluent English (speaking & reading) required; multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for discharge and communicate status updates to the care team and clients.
• Record patient histories, treatments, and procedures accurately for invoicing and records.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain detailed progress notes.
• Schedule procedures, relay accurate information to clients, and seek help when needed.

Job Description

Patient Care and Assistance

Additional Duties

• Perform laboratory procedures and collect/prep samples for analysis.
• Operate and maintain radiography units and diagnostic software.
• Maintain and report issues with medical equipment; restock and manage supplies.
• Clean and sterilize instruments, maintain hospital cleanliness, and assist with patient hygiene.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technicians with at least 3 years of experience, dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
