BluePearl is hiring an exceptional Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician.

Veterinary Technician I (CVT) Pay: $23.35 / hour - $33.60 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

Example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician

As an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic tests (Schirmer Tear Test, IOPs, Fluorescein Staining) and assist with detailed ocular exams.
• Conduct advanced ophthalmic diagnostics (retinal electrical function, etc.).
• Set up and assist with procedures and surgeries to restore vision, ranging from outpatient to complex surgeries.
• Assist with outpatient procedures like diamond burr debridement and CO2 laser procedures.
• Participate in surgical procedures including eyelid surgeries, cherry eye, corneal grafts, cataract, retinal, and glaucoma surgeries.
• Manage anesthesia for sedated or anesthetized patients, including IV catheter placement, drug administration, and monitoring. Anesthesia training is available with our specialist.
• Help organize and maintain ophthalmic equipment and supplies.
• Educate clients on ocular diseases and care.
