BluePearl Pet Hospital in the United States is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician. The role involves anesthesia induction and monitoring, CRI setup, and assisting with MRI/CT procedures.

You will educate clients and discharge neuro patients with proper nursing care, while supporting a fast-paced team of veterinary professionals. We emphasize growth, ongoing education, and a supportive environment with opportunities in anesthesia, internal medicine, and emergency care.

• Experience with veterinary neurology and anesthesia is preferred.

Payscale - APCA I - RVT I: $22.15 - $33.60 /Hr

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician , you will:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc ).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia
• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc.. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
• P erform call back s and refill medications
• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
• Perform physical exam ; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
• Understand normal vital parameters
• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture
• O perate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
• R estrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
