BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is seeking an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced team in the Sandy Springs area. You will work with experts in neurology and anesthesia, performing CRI setups, anesthesia management, and imaging preparation, while delivering high‑quality nursing care.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician or equivalent certification (RVT/CVT).
• Strong knowledge of veterinary neurology and anesthesia monitoring.
• Experience with CRI setup, infusion calculations, and patient care.
• Ability to monitor and assist during MRI/CT procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Prepare for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients with owner education and home care guidance.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital standards.
• Calculate medical dosages and fluid administration.
• Perform client education and gather histories for clinicians.

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math, including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, and range of motion.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Perform call backs and refill medications.
• Client education, gather histories, and communicate them to the clinician.
• Perform a physical exam; accurately count heart rate, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
• Understand normal vital parameters.
• Be comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
• Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.
