Spanaway Veterinary Clinic in Spanaway, WA is seeking a credentialed Veterinary Technician Lead to join our growing team. The role focuses on leading clinical care, mentoring technicians, and ensuring smooth hospital workflows. The clinic operates Monday through Saturday with a 7am–6:30pm schedule, no nights or on-call.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician with strong clinical skills (IV catheters, venipuncture, anesthesia induction & monitoring).
• Passionate about learning and animal care.
• Experience leading a team or mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in daily patient care and treatment
• Train and support new and existing technicians and assistants
• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical protocols and SOPs
• Coordinate technician schedules and daily staffing needs
• Provide team encouragement, coaching, and feedback
• Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with team members
• Partner with hospital leadership to identify improvements
• Support veterinarians with appointments, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics and treatments
• Promote a calm, low-stress experience for patients
• Shape the culture of a growing veterinary team
