Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of veterinary clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated competency in essential veterinary technician duties.
• Strong knowledge of patient care, clinical procedures, diagnostic support, and veterinary nursing practices.
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or supporting team members is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
• Compassion for animals, commitment to client education, and a desire to continue developing clinical skills.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and clinical findings.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, laboratory work, imaging, and medication preparation.
• Support anesthesia monitoring, recovery, safe restraint, and low-stress handling.
• Advocate for patient comfort, safety, and pain management.
• Educate clients on health, diagnostics, treatments, and preventive care.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of team members.
• Promote consistent clinical practices and collaboration across staff.
• Maintain medical records in AVImark and keep areas clean and compliant.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols and assist daily hospital operations.
