A Veterinary Technician based in Small Animal services assists clinicians with examinations, treatments, and nursing care while maintaining a strong base knowledge of veterinary medicine and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of veterinary experience, or enrollment in a vet tech program.
• Veterinary Technician II: Credentialed veterinary technician with four years of veterinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with routine and urgent examinations, treatments, procedures, and hospitalization nursing care.
• Maintain a current knowledge of veterinary medicine and eagerness to learn.
• Work in a 24/7 hospital environment with day, evening, and night shifts as assigned.
