Job summary

Renton West Veterinary Hospital - WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our on-site team, supporting veterinarians to deliver compassionate patient care and education to clients.

You will assist with examinations, treatments, vaccinations, surgeries, lab work, and charting, while helping to keep the hospital running smoothly. CVT/RVT/LVT certification and 1+ year veterinary experience are preferred; lifts up to 50 pounds and flexible shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid CVT, RVT, or LVT certification and licensing.
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary hospital experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Onsite position with possible evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under a veterinarian.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed; monitor vital signs.
• Prepare surgical suites and assist veterinarians during procedures; monitor anesthesia.
• Educate clients about wellness plans, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Maintain thorough medical charting and hospital records.
