Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Seattle seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. You will support veterinarians, educate clients, and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include assisting in examinations and surgeries, handling lab work, maintaining medical records, and ensuring equipment readiness. A CVT/RVT/LVT certification and 1+ year of hospital experience are preferred, with on-site scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Must have and maintain a valid certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) and 1+ years of veterinary hospital experience.
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under a veterinarian's supervision; administer medications, vaccines, and treatments; monitor vital signs.
Prepare and analyze laboratory samples; operate equipment; record results in patient records.
Prepare surgical suites and assist during procedures; monitor anesthesia; provide post-operative care.
Educate clients about wellness plans, nutrition, medications, and disease prevention.
Maintain thorough medical charting and ensure equipment functionality.
Manage supplies and inventory; support hospital operations.
