Job summary

The Vet Technician position is onsite at WellHaven Pet Health, part of the All About Paws family. You will support veterinarians, educate clients, and provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, treatments, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, and client communication. Requires CVT/RVT/LVT or valid licensing, 1+ year hospital experience, and ability to lift 50+ pounds. Shifts may include evenings, weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid CVT/RVT/LVT certification or equivalent license.
• Minimum 1+ year of veterinary hospital experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under supervision.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and perform diagnostic tests as prescribed.
• Prepare surgical suites and assist veterinarians during procedures.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, nutrition, medications, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records and hospital equipment.
