Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education as required to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician
• Minimum 1 year experience as Veterinary Technician
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, professional demeanor under stress
• Strong telephone and computer skills
• Team player willing to learn and adapt

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, record vital signs, and begin patient history in EMR
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, euthanasia under supervision
• Perform patient restraint, collect lab samples, dispense meds per veterinarian
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay results, manage records and AR
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anesthetized patients
• Provide in-hospital treatments and maintain patient care
• Train new staff and share knowledge
• Keep hospital clean and maintain schedule
