Job summary

CityVet Career Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Technician Assistant (minimum 1 year of experience) to join our Georgia clinics. You will support veterinarians by preparing patients for procedures, restraining animals safely, and helping with testing, meds, and client communication.

In this role you will contribute to high-quality patient care, efficient daily operations and a positive, pet‑loving work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication & listening skills.
• Self-motivated & team-oriented.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to restrain animals safely.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians and prep patients for surgery, monitor post-op patients and restrain animals during exams.
• Obtain samples for testing, including stool and blood work.
• Test samples and help interpret results for treatment decisions.
• Administer medications, vaccines and anesthesia as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Communicate with clients to provide care instructions and medical information.
• Support the Client Service Specialist team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
