Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department. The role offers an hourly pay range of $24.50–$35.21, with shift differentials for nights and weekends as described in our Kahuna leveling system.

Responsibilities include triage, CPR initiation, placing IV lines and central access, radiography, ventilator care, and providing Level 2–3 inpatient care. Mentorship and teamwork are emphasized, with many opportunities for skill advancement.

Qualifications

• LVT licensed in good standing.
• ER experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department in Olympia.

Pay

LVT Pay: $24.50 – $35.21 per hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum.

Shift Differentials

• Mon – Fri: 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM = $4.50
• Sat & Sun: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM = $4.50
• Sat & Sun: 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM = $8.00

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.

• Place IVCs and advanced catheters such as jugular catheters, central lines, or PICC lines.
• Perform advanced radiographs.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Provide level 2 & 3 inpatient care.
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing advanced medicine to patients.
• Mentor and train co‑workers.
