Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health operates WVRC Waukesha, a 24/7 ER and critical care hospital. This role supports triage, diagnostics, emergency stabilization, and intensive patient care alongside veterinarians and a dedicated team in a high-performing setting.

The position requires a CVT or eligibility within 9 months, with at least 1 year as a veterinary technician. Second shift, four 10-hour days, every other weekend, with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• CVT licensure is required or eligible to obtain license within 9 months.
• At least 1 year of technician experience; ER experience a plus.
• Comfortable with restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing care.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Support the health and wellbeing of pets by performing triage, trauma assessments, diagnostics, emergency stabilization, and in-depth care.
• Execute nursing tasks including restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, meds calculations, anesthesia monitoring, and other duties.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians and support staff.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

Location: Waukesha, WI

Schedule: Full Time | 2nd shift | Four 9-10 Hour Shifts Per Week | Includes Every Other Weekend | Some Holidays Required

Compensation: CVT starting wage $24/hr and up, Dependent On Experience | Applicable Shift Differentials - $3/hr for the hours between 4pm & Midnight | $1500 hiring bonus for CVTs!

In Your Day-to-day, You Will

• Support the health and wellbeing of pets by performing proficient patient triage, speedy trauma assessments, extensive diagnostics, emergency patient stabilization, and in-depth patient care
• Utilize your technical skill sets by executing tasks such as restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, general nursing care, drug calculations from fluid rates to CRIs, in addition to monitoring general anesthesia and more!
• Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians and support teams
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
