Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Frederick, MD, is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join the Overnight Emergency team. You will play a critical role in delivering fast-paced, life-saving care to emergency patients while coordinating admissions and managing treatments.

Description

CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Emergency team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.

About You

You’ll play a critical role in pets' lives by delivering fast-paced, end-to-end care for emergency patients. Your life‑saving work will range from hands‑on triage, monitoring critical cases, and performing advanced diagnostics, to essential support services including coordinating admissions, managing overnight treatments and ensuring safe patient transitions.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Must have availability to work Overnight
  • Experience in an Emergency setting strongly preferred
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self‑motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
