Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking Relief Veterinary Technicians to join our Emergency team in York, PA. You will provide end-to-end care for critical and emergent patients on a relief basis, performing triage, stabilization, and diagnostics to support doctors and improve patient outcomes.

You will work within Thrive Pet Healthcare’s network, with opportunities for growth through ongoing education and leadership programs across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
• Emergency experience strongly preferred.
• Has strong anesthesia skills (blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2) and ability to assist doctors.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end care for critical and emergent patients on an as-needed basis.
• Perform hands-on emergency triage, stabilization, and diagnostics.
• Support admitting, monitoring and discharging patients as part of Thrive Pet Healthcare.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused emergency department environment.

Animal Emergency & Referral Center of York is looking for Relief (as‑needed) Veterinary Technicians to join our Emergency team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in York, PA.

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end care for critical and emergent patients on an as‑needed, relief basis. Your life‑changing work will range from hands‑on emergency triage, stabilizing treatments, and laboratory diagnostics to essential support services including admitting, monitoring and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• Emergency experience strongly preferred
• Has strong anesthesia skills (able to obtain blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self‑motivatedExcellent communication and organization skills
