Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Technician to play a vital role in supporting patient care during visits, including hands-on dermatology treatments and laboratory testing. You will assist with patient intake, monitoring, and discharge while collaborating with doctors to ensure high-quality care.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of direct patient care experience, active CVT/RVT/LVT credentials preferred, strong technical and anesthesia skills, and excellent communication

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
  • Superior/advanced technical skills.
  • Strong anesthesia skills (ability to monitor BP, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes).
  • Positive work attitude; self-motivated; excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support patient care during visits, including hands-on dermatology treatments and laboratory testing.
  • Assist doctors across the patient care continuum from intake to monitoring and discharge.
  • Provide accurate patient data recording and timely communication with the care team.

About You

You'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by providing comprehensive assistance throughout each visit. This impactful work includes hands-on support with dermatology treatments and laboratory testing, as well as essential services such as patient intake, monitoring and discharge.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $23 - $24 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
