Job summary

Dermatology For Animals, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare in Rockville, MD, is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. You will provide hands-on support during dermatology visits, assist with lab tests, and help with patient intake, monitoring, and discharge to ensure quality care.

The role demands at least 1 year of clinical veterinary experience, active CVT/RVT/LVT status preferred, and strong anesthesia skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
• Strong anesthesia skills including BP, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 monitoring.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Positive, self-motivated team player.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care with hands-on assistance during visits.
• Assist with dermatology treatments and laboratory testing.
• Manage patient intake, monitoring, and discharge.
• Support doctors to ensure timely, high-quality care.
• Contribute to a compassionate, efficient clinic environment.

Dermatology for Animals is looking forf ultimeVeterinary Technicians to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Rockville, MD.

About You

You’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care by providing comprehensive assistance throughout each visit. This impactful work includes hands‑on support with dermatology treatments and laboratory testing, as well as essential services such as patient intake, monitoring and discharge.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self‑motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of$24 – $26 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
