Job summary

Bloom Animal Hospital, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Dermatology team in Livonia, MI. Enjoy a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a supportive environment focused on advanced dermatology care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) required.
• Superior/advanced technical skills for dermatology procedures and labs.
• Strong anesthesia skills including BP, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 with clinical interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with dermatology treatments and laboratory testing.
• Assist with patient intake, monitoring, and discharge.
• Collaborate with doctors to ensure timely, effective patient care.

About You

You’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care by providing comprehensive assistance throughout each visit. This impactful work includes hands‑on support with dermatology treatments and laboratory testing, as well as essential services such as patient intake, monitoring and discharge.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) required
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $25 – $27 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
