CityVet Chandler is seeking a Veterinary Technician (VT) to join our team in Chandler, AZ. The VT will support veterinarians, prep patients for surgery, monitor post-op patients, and assist with exams, lab work, and client communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year veterinary industry experience.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medications.
• Ability to safely restrain animals and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, taking X-rays, and collecting lab samples.
• Monitor patients post-operatively and restrain animals during exams.
• Obtain and test samples (stool, blood, etc.) and interpret results with the DVM.
• Administer medications and ensure proper dosing and client instruction.
• Communicate with clients regarding care plans and at-home instructions.
• Support front-office staff and maintain organized, efficient daily practice.
