Job summary

CityVet South Austin is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team in a fast-paced clinic. The VT will support veterinarians, restrain animals safely, collect samples, and help with patient care from exam to post-op recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians by prepping patients for exams and surgery.
• Obtain samples and assist with testing and results interpretation.
• Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Provide client education and support before and after procedures.
