Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital in Whitsett, NC seeks a Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant to provide hands-on patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication in a busy practice. You will assist with blood collection, IV catheter placement, in-house lab work with IDEXX, and support surgeries, dentistry, and daily patient needs while collaborating with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Veterinary Experience: Previous veterinary hospital experience with hands-on anesthesia monitoring required. Surgery experience is a plus.
• Clinical Skills: Safe animal restraint, blood collection, IV catheter placement, and in-house lab testing.

Responsabilités

• Hands-On Patient Care: Safely restrain and handle patients, collect blood samples, place IV catheters, assist examinations and treatments.
• Anesthesia and Surgery: Monitor under anesthesia, support procedures, provide recovery care; anesthesia experience required; surgery experience a plus.
• Diagnostics and Lab: Run in-house labs, process samples, use IDEXX equipment for timely decisions.
• Team Support: Assist doctors and team with appointments, procedures, dental care, daily needs.
• Client Experience: Deliver friendly, compassionate service, communicate with pet parents.
• Patient Advocacy: Notice changes, communicate concerns, ensure attentive, individualized care.
