Qualifikationen

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician
• Basic computer skills including MS Office applications
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds and more with assistance as needed
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and client satisfaction

Aufgaben

• Assist veterinarians in surgery, exams, and treatments as needed
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures
• Obtain samples and perform in-hospital laboratory testing
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures
• Handle and restrain animals for exams
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and restock supplies
• Communicate with veterinarians and team members regarding patient plans and concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned
