Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital in Whitsett, NC is seeking a Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant to join our Veterinary Technicians team. This full-time position offers hands-on patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and collaboration with a compassionate group of professionals.

You will collect blood samples, restrain animals, assist with exams and procedures, and support client education while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout care.

Qualifications

• Hands-on patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical assistance.
• Proficiency in restraining animals, blood collection, and IV catheter placement.
• Experience with IDEXX diagnostic equipment and Cornerstone software is a plus.
• Strong communication and client service skills within a busy hospital.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Patient Care: Safely restrain and handle patients, collect blood samples, place IV catheters, assist with examinations and treatments.
• Anesthesia and Surgery: Monitor patients under anesthesia, support safe procedures, provide recovery care; anesthesia experience required.
• Diagnostics and Laboratory Work: Run in-house lab work, process samples, use IDEXX equipment for timely decisions.
• Veterinary Team Support: Assist doctors and team with appointments, procedures, dental care, and daily needs.
• Client Experience: Deliver compassionate service, communicate clearly with pet owners, and support families.
• Patient Advocacy: Notice changes, communicate concerns, ensure attentive care for every patient.
