Description

Plantation Animal Clinic is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Matthews, NC.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • Has 2 years of supervisory experience (in a veterinary clinic setting)
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (able to obtain a blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and ETCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self‑motivated
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $20 - $25 / hour. The actual salary will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
