Jacksonville Community Pet Clinic – Beach is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our small animal team in Jacksonville Beach. You will support veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and patient care while educating clients and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital.
• Experience with surgery, dentistry, radiology, laboratory procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and technician appointments preferred.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient during urgent medical situations.
• Positive attitude and collaborative, team-first mindset.
• Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers.
• Commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and hospitalized patient care
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, injections, fluid therapy, and anesthesia monitoring
• Obtain diagnostic samples and assist with radiology procedures
• Safely handle and restrain patients using compassionate, low-stress techniques
• Educate clients regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Help maintain clean, organized treatment, surgery, and examination areas
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure an efficient workflow and outstanding patient care

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm, Rotating Saturdays 8 am-2 pm

What You'll Do
