The Veterinary Center at Fishhawk is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join a four‑doctor practice focused on exceptional patient care. The role offers a flexible 4 or 5‑day schedule with rotating Saturdays and a salary competitive with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, lab work and radiology.
• Strong client communication skills and a compassionate, team‑oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, administer medications and vaccines.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in‑house diagnostics.
• Obtain high‑quality diagnostic radiographs and maintain patient records.
• Educate clients on medications and preventive care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas following safety protocols.
• Support team with workload management and professional development.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and dental procedures
• Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures
• Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in‑house diagnostics
• Obtain high‑quality diagnostic radiographs
• Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Educate clients on medications, preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Anticipate the needs of the veterinary team to promote efficiency and exceptional patient care
• Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas while following hospital safety protocols
