- Role: Veterinary Technician
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule: 4 days a week, 10 hour days

Animal Medical Center West is hiring a full-time veterinary technician to join our exceptional team in Beaufort, SC. We are a professional, friendly, animal-loving team that thrives on our dedication to providing exceptional service to our clients and high-quality veterinary care to our patients. We’re looking for a skilled, reliable, long-term employee with a positive attitude to join our busy practice. Our clinic is a great place to work; you’ll have the opportunity to utilize and enhance your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. We treat our staff and pets like family!
We provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art veterinary care, including preventive, diagnostic, surgical, and dental services, as well as pain management. Our facility includes digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, ultrasound, and laser therapy.
The ideal candidate’s strengths and skills:
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and exceptional veterinary care
- Computer skills - email, Google Drive, EzyVet Veterinary software
- Organization - helping keep all areas of the hospital tidy, clean, stocked, and organized, cleaning as needed
- Works well with a team as well as independently
- Ability to effectively multi-task - prioritize based on client, patient, and practice needs
- Adaptable - able to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
- Fast learner with strong attention to detail
- Reliable and self-motivated
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Perform safe and gentle restraint for examinations by a veterinarian
- Perform laboratory sample preparation for in-house machine analyses on urine and blood
- Administer vaccines and medications
- Communicate with and educate clients
- Pitch in where needed to provide top-notch care
- Filling prescriptions
- Daily call-backs
- Billing out clients
- Able to lift daily up to 50lbs
