Job summary

Valley Animal Hospital & Pet Resort in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or experienced assistant to join our 7-doctor team. You will handle inpatient/outpatient care, dental radiographs, and anesthesia, while contributing to client education and collaborative care in a culture that values education and fun.

We offer a 4x10 shift schedule, starting compensation at $19, with medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO, sick time, CE allowances, license

Qualifications

• Experience as Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Experienced Assistant in general practice.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy, radiology and dental radiographs.
• Comfort with surgical prep, anesthesia, recovery and client education.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care.
• Assist with surgical prep, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Perform dentistry and dental radiographs as needed.
• Educate clients and collaborate with DVMs.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Experienced Assistant with at least 2 years of experience in general practice. You’re reliable, passionate, and seasoned in:

• Inpatient & outpatient care
  • Phlebotomy, Radiology
• Surgical prep, anesthesia, and recovery
• Dentistry and dental radiographs
• Client education and team collaboration
  • clearly communicating with clients and working closely with DVMs
