Job Summary
Performs medical tests in a laboratory environment for use in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases in animals. Prepares vaccines and serums for disease prevention. Prepares tissue samples, takes blood samples, and executes laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts. Cleans and sterilizes instruments and materials, maintains equipment and machines. May assist a veterinarian during surgery.

Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology required.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials: Certified Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) - American Association for Laboratory Animal Science preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in laboratory animal or veterinary care required.
