BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team.

Prior experience in orthopedic procedures is required.

Responsibilities of a BluePearl Surgery Technician include:

• Providing nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Utilizing ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
• Performing physical exams and accurately monitoring vital signs.
• Understanding normal vital parameters and alerting doctors to abnormalities.
• Setting up and administering intravenous and subcutaneous fluids.
• Operating and troubleshooting all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
• Monitoring patient response to fluid therapy.

A minimum of two years of experience in a veterinary hospital is preferred. A rotating on-call schedule is required after training.
