Mountain View Veterinary Surgery in Colorado Springs is seeking a skilled veterinary technician to join our team, supporting soft tissue and anesthesia procedures, caring for patients, and communicating with clients.

You will interview owners, review care plans, record vital signs, assist during surgeries, monitor anesthesia, and help maintain sterile practice. We value reliability, endurance for long shifts, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more in Veterinary Medicine required, and 2 years or more specifically in veterinary surgery and anesthesia experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with clients as well as communicating with team members.
• Ability to work energetically for the entire shift, sometimes exceeding 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
• Certified Veterinary Technician preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.

Responsabilités

• Interview owners and review care plans and records.
• Take vital signs and administer medications and drugs.
• Assist during surgeries and monitor anesthesia.
• Maintain patient records and clinical supplies.
• Support clinic operations by assembling required supplies and instruments; maintain sterile conditions.
• Assist with anesthesia equipment setup and monitoring during procedures.
