Job summary

Foothills Animal Hospital in Colorado is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will assist veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and lab work while ensuring patient comfort and family-centered care.

You will take histories, monitor vital signs, prepare for procedures, manage samples, radiographs, and client education. The role emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and precise handling of multiple patients.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of employment.
• Experience with Ezyvet software is preferred.
• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred; proficiency in anesthesia monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Assist outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights, and provide client education.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during surgery.
• Obtain blood, stool, and other samples; perform in-hospital laboratory testing and prepare specimens for outside laboratories.
• Take, develop, and maintain radiographs following safety procedures.
• Provide basic animal handling and restraining during exams.
• Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment; restock supplies; keep areas clean.
