Colorado Canine Orthopedics is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant – Surgery to join our team. You will support veterinarians and technicians, help with x-rays, restraints, and bloodwork, and contribute to sterile surgical prep and post-op care.

This is a full-time role with four 10-hour shifts, including Saturdays, offering growth and hands-on training in advanced nursing skills. We promote education and mentorship in a collaborative environment, with benefits and a strong team-focused

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure exceptional veterinary care; advocate for patients
• Assist doctors and technicians during patient treatments and procedures including x-rays, restraint for exams and IV catheters, running bloodwork
• Basic animal husbandry and care
• Cleaning, laundry, and kennel maintenance
• Maintaining surgical suite and equipment before, during and after surgery
• Maintaining and understanding the sterility of equipment
• Constantly advance your knowledge base and skill set
• Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
