Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician with anesthesia expertise to support surgical patients and the anesthesia team. The role emphasizes safe anesthesia care, monitoring, and collaboration with clinicians to ensure excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licensure required.
• 2+ years in a specialty veterinary hospital preferred.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Capable of venipuncture and peripheral IV catheter placement.
• Able to stand for extended shifts and handle animals safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations to assess patient safety and surgical risks.
• Set up and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and monitoring equipment.
• Monitor anesthesia care and manage pain using multimodal strategies.
• Use Smartflow and EzVet anesthesia forms for documentation.
• Maintain patient ventilation, oxygenation, and arterial blood gas assessment.
