Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals in Paramus is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership across shifts and perform paraprofessional duties as needed. You will assist with client care, educate clients on wellness plans, and ensure efficient hospital operations while supporting Practice Manager and COS in communication and continuity of service.

The role requires veterinary paraprofessional experience, strong leadership, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred.
• Two years experience in a healthcare or veterinary setting preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Act as CSC or veterinary assistant/technician when needed.
• Recruit new clients and manage client flow for efficient operations.
• Communicate with clients, associates, and hospital leadership to ensure smooth shifts.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and ensure accurate records and invoices.
