Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals seeks a Shift Lead for the Paramus location. The role blends leadership with paraprofessional veterinary support to ensure smooth operations across shifts and strong client service.

You will assist the veterinary team, educate clients on wellness plans, manage client flow, and help maintain records and stock. Strong communication and basic supervisory skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Two years of experience in healthcare, veterinary, or related service field required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead duties ~20% of time, paraprofessional duties ~80% of time.
• Act as CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician; assist with surgeries as applicable.
• Recruit clients, manage client flow, and educate on wellness plans.
• Maintain medical records, inventory, and hospital cleanliness.
• Coordinate with Practice Manager to ensure efficient operations.
