Overview

Veterinary Service Representative - FARMS (CARE) role at Inside Higher Ed. Job No: 536750. Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL). Full Time. Department: 28322400 - VM-FOOD ANIMAL SERVICE.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as point person and liaison for communication with clients and clinicians of the Food Animal Reproduction & Medicine Service (FARMS) regarding delivery of routine and emergent health care services to livestock producers.
  • Facilitate veterinary clients' needs during interaction with the service, including communications, processing paperwork, and handling financial transactions.
  • Assist in offsite herd health services logistics, scheduling, and record-keeping; support ambulatory service operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience; college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and anatomy; knowledge of equipment/materials used in farm animal ambulatory practice.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use office software (e.g., Excel); experience with budgets and scheduling.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct, attention to detail, effective communication, critical thinking, and proactive service orientation.
Benefits and Terms

This is a full-time, benefited position and requires a post-offer health assessment. Background check required. Relocation assistance may be available; visa sponsorship is not.

Health assessment required: Yes; must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, kneel, pull, push, twist and stand for extended periods.

Expected Salary: $17 - $20 commensurate with experience.
