Job summary

Colorado State University’s Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Fort Collins seeks an Administrative Professional for a part-time role (20 hours/week). The position focuses on securing external funding, managing pre- and post-award activities, and coordinating project tasks within the CSU VDL.

You will work with grant-funded research projects, supervise none, handle data management and stakeholder communications, and ensure compliance with pre-employment and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • DVM degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience working on grant-funded research projects.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue external funding opportunities for CSU VDL, including USDA NAHLN and NADPRP Farm Bill funding.
  • Manage pre-award and post-award project phases, including proposal development, communication of activities, and financial management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to project priority and contributors, including conflict resolution.
  • Manage operational projects for the VDL with goals, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders and coordinate plans and schedules.
  • Provide data management, objective assessment, and clear communications across projects.
